Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

If you thought that Nokia is the only one that can create multimedia monsters like the N96 and the N95 8GB, read this. Samsung will soon be launching the i8510 that will give tough times to the likes of N96 and C905 from the Sony Ericsson stable.
This one is a slider and has pretty big screen with a 8 mega pixel snapper. Also the i8510 has features that will give run for money to other high-end multimedia phones in the market.
  • A 8 Megapixel camera with auto focus, xenon flash and video recording at 120fps (in QVGA mode)
  • Will run on a modified version of Symbian 60
  • Will have a built-in memory of either 8GB or 16GB
  • A large 2.8 inch TFT display with 16 million colors
  • GSM and HSDPA connectivity (for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps)
  • Wi-Fi, internal GPS, DivX support, 3D graphics accelerator
  • TV out, 128MB of RAM, optical mouse and other goodies
  • It measures 106.5 x 53.9 x 16.9 millimeters and includes a powerful 1200 mAh battery

There is no official announcement from Samsung with respect to this phone. The pricing details are also not available. But one thing is sure that, Samsung is becoming quite aggressive with its market offerings whether it is high-end imaging phones or low end handsets. Recently, Samsung has become number 2 in the Indian mobile phone market. Sony Ericsson's Shiho also leaked sometime back.
