Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

Putting an end to all the rumors that were going around regarding Nokia coming up with two N Series handsets today, the Finnish giant has launched the N85 and the N79. The N85 is a slider handset more like the N96 with big 2.6 inch OLED screen. The N85 comes with the N Gage platform and Nokia has pre-installed 10 games based on this platform. The phone has Wi-Fi, GPS, 5 mega pixel snapper with Carl Zeiss lens and the phone is beefed up with 8 GB of memory.
Nokia N85 Specs:
  • HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • Symbian S60 fp3
  • 2.6″, QVGA (240×320 px) 16M color AMOLED display
  • 5 megapixel camera with geotagging support
  • built-in GPS and FM transmitter
  • 3.5 mm headhone jack
  • dedicated gaming and music keys
  • micorSD memory card
  • 28 hrs of music playback
  • Nokia Maps, 10 N-Gage demo titles with 1 licensed game for free
The N79 is a stylish Candybar phone with N85 like features and is an enhancement of the N78. The phone has Xpress-on covers and users can choose from two front and five back color style covers, making the phone highly customizable in looks. The N79 has a FM transmitter, built-in GPS and 4GB of memory. My prediction of one of the phones being Nokia Tube didn’t turn out to be true but still N85 and N79 are not that bad either!!!
