Recently I read the novel "Andromeda Strain" by Michael Crichton. The novel was published long back but I read it recently. The novel deals with the issue of Alien life invading earth's surface...The novel as such is not so much interesting as compared to his other novels like "State of Fear", "Prey" and his translated manuscript "Eaters of the Dead". Though I was fascinated by the idea which is discussed in this book that of contamination of earth's atmosphere due to alien forms and how they wash off a small town in US and how a team of scientists deals with them. Though the team has scientists who are experts in their respective field, the team somehow fails to determine the modus operandi of the virus.Such issues are well handled by the author and as always the novel was a loaded gun of scientific information same as all Crichton novels I have read so far....but still the suspense factor was missing in the novel which might have been the main reason of me getting bored of the novel....but still Michael Crichton remains one of my favorite in science fiction
