
Nokia has finally come to a decision of buying the navigation company Navteq. Navigation devices market is hotting up, especially in emerging countries of Asia, and with the $8.1 billion acquisition of Navteq, Nokia will be competing with TomTom and this acquisition has brought digital maps of 69 countries in Nokia’s kitty. Nokia has taken locations based services and navigation services market very seriously and these kind of acquisitions are helping Nokia to compete with the big wigs in the navigation services market.
