Nokia and Renault are coming up with a co-branded car, Renault Twingo Nokia car, this car has Nokia’s navigation system and hands free Nokia mobile phone, 6110. The car navigation market is growing and it seems that Nokia doesn’t want to be left behind in this market. Recently, I read one news piece saying that Nokia might buy GPS map navigation company Navteq. Also, Nokia is focusing more on Location Based Services and now this co-branded Renault car make me believe that, like imaging and music players market, Nokia is trying to enter the car navigation market with a lot of aggression.Nokia’s head of multimedia has confirmed Nokia’s seriousness, when it comes to the GPS enabled mobile handsets.
