The biggest disappointment is going to come for people in India on August 18th 2008, the launch date of 3G iPhone in India. According to sources the iPhone 3G is going to cost Rs. 31,000 on Vodafone connection, much costlier than what it costs in the US. The phone will come 2G enabled in India and 3G will be disabled by default. Now, there is an ongoing debate whether the service provider activates the 3G free of cost once 3G spectrum goes live in India. The 16 GB model will cost around Rs. 34,000. Now who the hell is going to spend so much money, if this news is confirmed then I doubt whether there would be any takers for this gadget from Apple???
