Vertu till date was a phone that a person ready to spend fortune would buy. Vertu is doing really well in its segment and sometimes I forget that it is the same company, Nokia. But now it seems there is someone who has come to challenge the position of Vertu in the world of handsets that cost a fortune. This one comes from an old timer in the watch industry, Tag Heuer. The company has come up with a mobile phone, which is christened as the Meridist. Meridist has a 2 meg clicker, QVGA Display, MP3 player and is made of materials that are used in most of the premium phones today...you guessed it right, steel and leather. The handset comes in different configurations and will cost you somewhere between Euro 3400 to Euro 3900...huh..I would buy a Tag Heuer Watch instead...
