Something good happened fifteen years ago, which changed our lives and took the wireless industry by storm....did you guess it....ok let me tell you guys and gals...fifteen years ago Nokia launched the first commercially viable GSM handset, the Nokia 1011, its launch date was November 10, 1992. The phone was pretty heavy as compared to the Nokia models, which we get now a days. Who would have thought that a company who was into the manufacturing of wood pulp and rubber boots would be a revolutionary market leader in the wireless communications industry. The Nokia 1011 lacked the legendary Nokia ringtone as it was introduced in 1994, the Nokia 1011 was later replaced by Nokia 2100.
