As you all know that Japan is the world’s most advance mobile phone market and is dominated by handset players like NEC, Sharp, Matsushita etc. Players like Nokia, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson have very weak presence in the Japanese market. Kyodo News has reported that Nokia will soon be launching its MVNO in Japan and will use NTTDoCoMo’s network, Japan’s leading telecom services provider. By doing this Nokia will all be set to take the operators in the Japanese market head on and it will be certainly backed by NTTDoCoMo’s presence in the Japanese market. Nokia, which is the world’s largest mobile phone company has just 1% market share in Japan and this MVNO strategy of Nokia will certainly help it to penetrate the complex and advance Japanese mobile phone market. For starters, Nokia will be offering its high-end Vertu and Ferrari branded phones and as you all know that Japanese fiend on high-end premium stuff.
