After launching two E Series monsters, Nokia is getting ready to launch its iPhone Killer the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, earlier it was called XpressMedia, dont know the reason behind this sudden change. Check out the Nokia 5800 promotional flyer below.

But as far as I know Nokia had said that they would be launching their 5800 or Tube by the end of this year. So why these sudden promos. I think this promo flyer is the work of some photoshop expert cause, if you see closely, the words, "XpressMusic" and "Nokia 5800" are not written in Nokia's regular font size and style. What say????

Nokia has taken one more step in the promotion of its multimedia monsters, N Series. They have come up with a site called Soul of the Night, you can sign-up on this site and upload videos about you have taken from your n Series or other handsets at popular places across your hometown or cities. These places can be, Pubs, Bars, Discos, Clubs, Restaurants, Music, live performances, Night Hideouts, Shopping centers etc. When I had a look at the site, it’s for people who are staying in Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Philippines. I don’t know why have they not started this for India, which is also an important market when it comes to the sales of the N Series handsets. May be Nokia expected that some gross and uncensored videos would be uploaded; this might start another YouTube controversy in India.

A new marketing campaign will be launched for their N81 handset.

Original Article follows below:

Handset manufacturer Nokia is launching a new multimedia campaign to promote the launch of its Nokia N81 handset. The N81 is tipped to be one of Apple iPhone’s closets rivals and launches just days before the iPhone becomes available in the UK.
The 60-second TV ad will be aired across 62 countries from Friday and will be supported by cinema, online, outdoor and retail activity. Media planning and buying is being handled by MediaCom. The campaign, created by Lowe, is titled ‘Playful Discovery’ and uses a cinematic theme to highlight the N81’s music and gaming capabilities with the strapline, ‘Entertainment. The next episode. Play games. Play clips. Play music’. The ad aims to be a social commentary about how people consume and create entertainment is changing in the mobile market. The campaign aims to illustrates that, in today’s fast-paced, globally connected environment, it’s time to upgrade from outdated modes of communication.

To support the launch, Nokia UK is sponsoring The Kiss FM breakfast show and will take over Emap Radio’s digital stations for ten days, with the aim of making listeners aware of the memory capacity of the Nokia N81. Jennifer Svrcek, multimedia marketing manager at Nokia UK, said: “The Nokia N81 is a hugely exciting product for us this year, with its outstanding gaming and music capabilities. With entertainment at the forefront of this device, the campaign has been developed to reflect the experiences that we hope consumers will have with the N81 in their daily lives.” In August, Nokia said it was to launch its own music store to coincide with the launch of the N81, which will aim to rival Apple’s iTunes. The Nokia Music Store will offer tracks from €1 (68p) and albums from €10 (£6.80), which makes the store slightly cheaper than its main rival iTunes.
