Micromax, is one of the numerous companies that have come up in India and known for cheap phones are giving hard time to companies like Nokia, who has a a very strong hold in the low price mobile phone market in India. Micromax mobile phones are not that great in terms of quality but they have some basic functionality and very cheap pricing. Cheap pricing is their weapon against big wigs like Nokia and Samsung, who are pretty strong in the India market. These guys have their proprietary platform and now they will soon be coming up with a new phone called the A60, which is based on Android operating system. Well Android is the flavor of the season and it a good move from Micromax to get into Android, which is rapidly becoming favorite OS of smart phone users across the world. Most of the big guys are having one or more models that are based on Android except Nokia, which is still deeply in love with the old lady Symbian and new girlfriend, MeeGo. With this Android handset move from Micromax, expect similar phones from other smaller players like, Lava, Karbon, WynnComm,Videocon etc!!
