Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

I posted about iPhone being launched in India in the month of September 2008. There were lots of speculations about who will be the service provider for this feat. Most of the people including me felt that it would be AirTel and not Vodafone. But now this one comes from the horse’s mouth, according to this press release from Vodafone, “Vodafone has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Later this year, Vodafone customers in Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey.”

So guys it is confirmed now, Vodafone will be your iPhone carrier in India. Vodafone is airing really good ads these days along with its pug ( dog breed), one ad is banned by animal rights guys, where they show the pug running behind the bus. Anyways, with Vodafone bringing the iPhone in India, I am expecting some really good advertisements that will team up the pug and the iPhone.

There are lot of network problems and also not to mention the slow internet access speeds over vodafone mobile.I hope things get better with vodafone or else its high time for me to change from vodafone to airtel hehehehe........

@Kalyan - I agree that Vodafone's network stands no where to that of AirTel, but with iPhone coming I think it will make sure that people dont loose out on the iPhone just because it is on Vodafone.
