After Korean policy makers planning to allow foreign made mobile phones to be sold in Korea, Nokia was pretty happy cause bi wigs from the Korean telecom industry like SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom said that they would be selling foreign made mobile phones inside Korea.
Now Nokia must be more than happy as from the latest reports, SK Telecom, Korea’s largest telecom company, is supposed to be having talks with Nokia and soon Nokia handsets would be on sale in SK Telecom’s retail outlets. Korean market is dominated by Samsung, LG and Motorola, with this move Nokia must be feeling happy that they are finally ready to go in the Korean mobile market and this time they have SK Telecom’s backing, which from my point of view will be very crucial for this inning in Korea. Also, Nokia manufactures handsets at varied price points from low-end that start from $30 to high-end that can cost you lot of money. With this variety to offer to the Korean consumers, Nokia must be definitely feeling pretty positive about this.
