If you all remember, Apple had put limitations on a person buying an iPhone. This was done to put an end to the growing number of iPhones being supplied in the grey market all over the world. Apple had allowed two devices per customer because people were buying them in huge numbers, unlocking them and selling them at high rates. Also, Apple had the credit card only policy in order to keep a record of the person as well as the iPhone that is being sold.
Now, Apple has increased this limit to 5 phones per person..so everybody is surprised why is Apple doing this…many people including me are of the opinion that may be the company is doing this to clear inventory for the upcoming 3G enabled iPhone.
