News junkies rejoice!!! CNN, the news people have launched their App for Android phones. Its available for Android Honeycomb based tablets like the Motorola Xoom. We all know that Android's Honeycomb version of the OS targets the tablet market and CNN has made sure that their new Honeycomb based App is best for use on tablets with rail navigation and other stuff that will make its use on tablets optimum. Here is what CNN has to say about the new App on their App's official page, "Start experiencing what happens when storytelling meets the newest technology with the new CNN App for Android - a smarter, sleeker way to experience a world of content. Share and comment on news & insights, watch live, breaking-news video and submit your own story to the world with iReport." The app has a rail kind of a format of displaying content with powerful headlines and images used to keep the users engaged. Users can swipe through stories which are laid out in rail type horizontal for mat, thus making it good for tablets. The app tracks US as well as international breaking news and there are plenty of sharing options available for stories that users consume. The app seems to be a winner and will be there on the Xoom tablet. I am sure CNN is going to get some huge traffic once the App goes live on Xoom as well as other Android Honeycomb based tablets.
