N97, one of the two Nokia smart phones, which helped Nokia regain its market share in Q4 2009 will soon be getting 2.1 Firmware update. Last year, October, Nokia N97 received Firmware 2.0 update, which was pretty big and users got to enjoy kinetic scrolling and more responsive touch screen UI. Some of the major changes that the 2.1 Firmware will boast of are, smooth touch screen scrolling, improved call reliability, image & video stability, browser stability and improvements in the music player. There are many other minor upgrades, which will be coming to the 2.1 Firmware upgrade and I will keep you posted on that. So if you have the Nokia N97, make sure you connect it to your PC tomorrow and check if the firmware update is available through the Nokia Software Updater. Yeah, this update won't be available as Over The Air (OTA) update.
