Bangalore, India / Global launch, November 9, 2009 - photoWALL, an exciting new showcase of mobile devices, real-time web technology and user generated content announced its global launch today. photoWALL enables and displays true real-time media streams (or WALLs) by presenting live media precisely when it happens. Mobile users can now easily send live photos along with many types of geo-tags and VoiceTags to an attractive, searchable web site for public, network or private viewing. photoWALL also enables simultaneous live uploading of mobile media to Facebook, Flickr and Twitter. photoWALL is available free on Apple's iPhone App Store, on the Palm Pre App Catalog, and also on the www.photowall.com web site for users of Windows Mobile, and many Sony and Nokia phones. Android and Blackberry versions are upcoming. "photoWALL introduces a new social networking category", said CEO, Mark Haverkate. "We guarantee only live content is posted on the Global Wall, while our unique QC process assures all photos are family friendly. And by enabling each user to define, manage and control both the posters and viewers of their own branded photoWALL, we open a unique new opportunity for family, organizational, and corporate relationships." In India, photoWALL is available as a co-branded site at http://msn.photowall.com. MSN India is a key channel partner and is managing the advertising sales on the co-branded site. "In today's ever connected world, photoWALL is a powerful new medium to communicate and stay updated. Its ability to leverage the ubiquity of photographs is amazing, and we are excited about the new horizons it opens up for consumers," said Sanjay Trehan, Head - MSN India, Consumer & Online Business, Microsoft India. "We recognize there are other cool mobile apps in the market, but we are unique because we are both a complimentary live feeder to the most popular social network and photography sites, and are also a global web destination for an entirely new way to search, combine and view mobile photos", said Apoorva Ruparel - photoWALL VP Strategy & Marketing. "Teaming with Microsoft for advertising sales and promotional marketing allows us to greatly increase our awareness, usage, and revenue."
