Ashr from the Techenclave Forum got hold of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for Rs. 16,000. Dont be surprised, the price has not gone down but he exchanged it for his old phone. Anyway, it seems that he is not much satisfied with the touch screen interface of Nokia 5800 and compares it with that of the iPhone's. Here is what he has to say about the touch screen of the Nokia 5800,"i am very disappointed with the touch screen and the interface. it's a huge letdown if you compare it with say, an iphone. now, i haven't used a nokia phone in 4 years. my last one was 6630 which i loved but i've been squatting at the SE camp after that. my major gripe is that i've always used phones with only my right hand with the thumb punching in keys. the only thing i can get away with like this is making/receiving calls and pressing large buttons on the main menu. text input with my thumb is really awkward as i push the wrong letters very often. i didn't have this problem with the iphone. the touch screen is responsive yes but not enough. i can hold the phone with one hand and scroll through my contacts list with my thumb. it's a glide... on the way down. going up seems really hard. it also took me a while to get used to single and double clicks."

He syas that te stylus does not come out smoothly and one has to struggel with it. Even in the comments section of the Techencalve post you will see some other user cribbing about the stylus. Nokia, are you reading this, if yes, then you need to do something about the stylus not coming out smoothly.Head over to the post and read what Ashr and other who have bought the phone have to say about the newest Nokia touch screen on the block. Head over to read one more review from a Nokia 5800 user.
