Sony Ericsson’s much awaited Windows Mobile handset and iPhone killer, Sony Ericson XPERIA X1 has been launched in India at a whopping Rs. 44,000. XPERIA X1 epitomizes mobile multimedia convergence. XPERIA X is loaded with Windows Mobile 6 OS and a 3 inch touch screen with a new concept called as panels, which is the phone’s USP.Besides that, almost all connectivity options are present - from a 3.5mm audio jack to GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, everything is on board. Navigation is sweet with the optical joystick, while the 9 available home screens should suit every scenario and all user preferences. The multimedia set includes FM radio without RDS and Media player.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 also has a 3.2 megapixel camera and will come with 400MB of internal storage. It is also expandable through the microSD card slot. The handset will have support for all the four GSM network bands and two version, each with three 3G network bands. HSDPA and HSUPA are there to ensure the quickest data transfers around. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will be powered by a 528MHz ARM CPU and will have 256MB of RAM.
The General Manager of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India said, “Xperia X1 can be personalized through nine panel user interface to suit to the users’ mood and lifestyle. Users can access content quickly and directly through touch-screen, easily switching between applications by touching one of the unique customized panels. With Windows Mobile, high data transfer rate and Wi-Fi support, one can enjoy favorite entertainment and work efficiently on the move.”
