Samsung INNOVATE or the Samsung i8510, which was launched by the Korean mobile giant few months back, has received the Asia Award for the “Best Wireless Broadband Device”. Innovate is one the few Samsung phones that has Symbian OS and is damn costly. The phone also sports 8 mega pixel camera and you won’t be wrong if you say it’s a digital camera with voice communications capability ;-)
The jury of this award was impressed with the phone’s multimedia and imaging features including the monster 8 mega pixel camera. The phone has some cool imaging features like face recognition, smile and blink recognition, auto panorama mode and geotagging. The phone has dual LED flash and will be able to capture videos at the speeds of 30fps in VGA resolution. Best part is that this QUAD band GSM and Dual band HSDPA runs on the Symbian OS 9.3 with S60 3rd edition Feature Pack 2. The attention grabbing feature of the phone is its large 2.8-inch 16M color QVGA display. It perfectly competes with the Nokia N95 8GB with its built-in 128 mb of RAM and 3D graphics accelerator for excellent mobile gaming experience. Imagine its playing Quake or NFS, pretty cool huh!! The storage is expandable via a microSD slot and the phone will come in 2 versions 8GB and 16 GB. Other cool features of the phone include A-GPS, Wi-Fi, DLNA certification. The phone is said to be a complete multimedia powerhouse with ability to play DivX videos, USB 2.0, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS.
