Last week at an event in New Delhi, famous Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra launched stylish Nokia handsets. After Shahrukh Khan, Nokia has now roped in Priyanka Chopra to promote its handsets. King Khan has been Nokia's brand ambassador since last year and Nokia handsets did extremely well all thanks the kind of exposure that they got by riding on the popularity of Shahrukh Khan, who is a brand in itself. Nokia was also the main sponsor of the Kolkata Knightriders T20 team, which is owned by Shahrukh Khan. Nokia has roped in Priyanka to target the young generation mobile users who carve for stylish phones. Nokia's association with Priyanka will also be visible in the upcoming Bollywood movie, Fashion, where Priyanka is one of the three lead actresses. Style, sleek and elegance are some of the qualities that are common between the Finnish giant and the beauty from India. Lets see if this Nokia-Priyanka association works out the same way as the Nokia-Shahrukh association. Priyanka has given a series of flops in the year 2008 with Fashion being one ray of hope for her. But I am sure Nokia would have ignored her wobbling movie career in 2008 and selected her for the sheer elegance and exuberance she reflects.
