Mobile Phone India

According to a latest study by a popular research firm, Strategy Analytics, Indian are the most loyal mobile phone consumers. What it means that Indians, as mobile phone consumers do not easily change the brand of the mobile phone they use and also the operator. So in India, for example, a Nokia users will continue with Nokia as a brand for his/her new mobile phone and AirTel or Vodafone or any other provider when they change connections. More than 80% of the people are unwilling to switch between operators and more than 53% don't want to part with their mobile phone brand, that's really good from an OEM's point of view and may be that is the reason, Nokia's early penetration of the Indian market has helped the company in increasing its share to more than 70% of the Indian mobile phone market. Also, when its comes to spending on mobile phones, majority of the customers spend around Rs. 12,000 for their handsets, this explains why expensive phones don't sell well in the masses, yeah but they do have their takers.
