Gradually mobile phones started to become a commodity and the their prices came down and now if you see, most of the Indians who have a mobile phone will have camera in it. Phones these days come equipped with cameras that will give run for money to most of the mainstream point and shoot cameras available in the market. Camera phones are becoming popular these days in India. According to latest survey by a market research company, ORG MARG, demand for mobile phones with camera has increased to 3%, Indians go for mobile phones that have a camera and this is the reason camera phones now account for 36% of the market. Availability of functions like auto focus, Xenon flash, LED flash, Face & Smile Detection, expandable memory, zoom and crisp resolution are instrumental in the growth of camera phone market in India. This coupled with, OEMs tying up with companies like Carl Zeiss, Schneider, Kodak etc for their camera phones make the consumers go for these phones.
