Sony Ericsson launched the X1 from its XPERIA range way back in February 2008. I am saying way back as people were eagerly waiting for it and there are rumors that Sony Ericsson would be launching the X1 in December 2008 or January 2009. When everybody was asking, where is the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Sony Ericsson has put an end to all the speculation that is happening in the world of mobile phones regarding the X1. According to Reuters, the ailing Swedish-Japanese mobile phone company has announced that, there would not be any delays in the launch of the X1 and as planned it would be available in the market in Q4 of 2008. The speculations regarding the late launch of X1 were fueled by rumors of Windows Mobile 6.1 not going well with Sony Ericsson's X1 XPERIA. Sony Ericsson is already struggling in many markets and is facing stiff competition from existing players like Nokia, Samsung and LG and now, with Apple's new iPhone making its debut in most of the countries, X1 must be a ray of hope for Sony Ericsson and grab a bit of the market share. Even Microsoft is struggling with getting its mobile phone OS on most of the phones, so when these two are combining forces, I don't think guys like Nokia and Samsung would be much worried.
