airtel launched its 3G services in Bangalore and you need to, send SMS 3G to 121 and yeah if your handset is compatible and your on on with 3G, 2G will get deactivated, which i think is bad. What if I have to go back to 2G after 3G screws my wallet up? There is no answer to this question, maybe you have to follow the whole deactivation process again. Oh and BTW, AirTel will now be always writen as airtel..shit!! Here is what Sanjay Kapoor, Bhartiairtel CEO had to say, "It is indeed the start of a new era when 3G services in India roll out on airtel's network.
