Samsung has recently launched its 12 megapixel monster, Pixon 12 in India. The phone was officially unveiled (Worldwide) by Samsung in the month of June 2009. Looking at its specs, the phone looks more like a digital camera with voice communication functionality. The Pixon 12 AKA Samsung M8910 boasts of touch auto focus ( like the iPhone 3GS), Xenon Flash, Image stabilizer, 28mm wide angle lens, auto set-up based on environment, face and smile detection, DVD resolution video recording. The Pixon 12 is positioned as an perfect imaging phone. Apart from the imaging features, the phone's other features are pretty impressive with 3.1 inch AMOLED touch screen, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, DivX and XviD support and microSD slot. Pixon 12 is the successor of the Pixon 8 and was supposed to launch at the Mobile World Congress 2009 but didn't make it. Now it has come in India and will be available at a retail price of INR 29,990.
