Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

Nokia launched the successor of the N95, the N96 at the Mobile World Congress 2008. This was in February 2008 and till not there is no fix date as to when the company is going to make it available for users. Earlier it was July 2008 and according to latest rumors it is August 2008. Whatever the commercial launch date may be, the N96's demonstration page is up and running on the Nokia site. Nokia did the same with E71. E71' demonstration page was up on the Nokia site and there was no official announcement from the company regarding the launch date of the phone. Now the same thing is happening with N96, at least N96's demo page is there after the phone was launched officially at the MWC 2008. Nokia has done this with two of its phones, the E71 and the E66, all the official material was up on Nokia site and the phones were not yet released officially. Why is Nokia doing like this? I gave it a thought and tried coming up with an answer, may be Nokia wants its users to get enticed by the user guides and the demo pages so that, they want these phones more. The demo pages are pretty flashy and in-depth. Once a user like you and me reads that, he/she obviously tries to get hands on a real device.
