Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

India is increasingly becoming an important market for mobile phone players. Mobile phone companies are finding out new ways to push their respective products into the ever-demanding Indian market. Sony Ericsson got attached to the perennially boring Sawariya,

Nokia roped in Shahrukh Khan for advertisements and

yesterday Samsung roped in Aamir Khan as their brand ambassador. This shows, how these stars are pitted against each other or seen as rivals by the media and the common man, the same way they see the fierce competition between Nokia and Samsung. By the way yesterday one of the journalist asked Aamir one tricky question, “What would you ask Shahrukh Khan, if you are interviewing him as a journalist?” and you know what Aamir said, he said, “I will ask him how does it feel to be Number 2, especially when Aamir is Number 1.” This was obviously a joke but in real life the game of numbers is pretty interesting and as of now Shahrukh Khan and Nokia seem to be the leaders.

Now the publicity war will be hotting up with Samsung coming on more aggressively in the market market and will give a good competition to Nokia, whose goodwill has eroded a lot.

Yeah I agree, the goodwill of nokia has eroded a lot especially after the Germany episode. but India is still Nokia's forte and it will take a lot of effort and time for Samsung to make Nokia feel uneasy

Yeah you might be right but they have not used their Guerilla Marketing competency when it comes to their mobile phones.
