As you guys must be aware that Nokia is planning to introduce the touch feature in it popular S60 platform. As a result of this many analysts are thinking that Apple, who has more than 200 patents on the touch screen technology, will become defensive and see the move by Nokia as the infringement of its patents. Some analysts are also of the view that, by 2009 Apple and Nokia will enter into some kind of agreement instead of fighting legally.
I think Nokia does not want to enter into any patent battles as of now especially after the Qualcomm episode. Let’s see how Nokia and Apple handle this issue.
