Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

Guys at Apple recently came up with an update for the sexy iPhone. The moment you install this update, the iPhone locks down itself to factory settings, deletes all third party applications and eventually, the OS shuts down. This move from the Apple guys is somewhat against the current trend of being open in the world of technology.
May be that’s why guys at Nokia are running this print-ad campaign in New York saying, “Phones should be open to anything”, “The best devices have no limits”. This campaign is running for the N-Series devices from Nokia and Nokia is proud in saying that their N-Series phones are “Open to Anything”…it seems everybody is waging a war against the iPhone!!!

P.S. I didn’t find the pic of the ad campaign, the moment I get one I will post here :-)

Seems, like advertising war at its best...
It made me remembered, some more ads..
Like of Airlines industry, where diferent airlines have quote their punching revolving around "We made them change" and other follow with some more creativity..

Then, some months ago, Big bazaar too came with a punchline against Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop and one more retail store, i am forgetting its name..

So, creative minds are working at its best showing the direct compitition between brands..

Yeah Mona, you are right, I think the advertising guys in different companies are following the principle,"Learn from other's mistakes." Its far from the original line, which says,"Learn from your mistakes", but it is good till it is working for them ;-)

This is really a bad competitive practice. In today's world every one is trying to be more accumulative so that it doesn't lose out in the popular race, but Apple I think is going a step backwards!
