Gaming chief of Sony Ericsson, Peter Ahnegard, has announced that their company will soon be launching the Sony Ericsson PlayStation series of mobile phones. We all are aware of the huge popularity of Sony’s PSP (PlayStation Portable) and I think this phone will look something like a PSP.The launch date has not been finalized yet, but when these phones are out there in the market they will definitely compete with Nokia’s N-Gage series of gaming phones, which are popular among mobile gamers and yeah they might as well compete against Sony’s own portable gaming gadget, PSP.
It seems that branding its phones under the name of the W-Series (Walkman Phones) and the K-Series (Cyber-Shot Phones) has reaped good benefits for Sony Ericsson and it doesn’t want to miss out on the popularity and acceptance of Sony’s gaming console, PlayStation and the PSP.
