Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

The much awaited company outing happened recently. We went to Kudremukh near Kalasa deep inside the Western Ghats, our resort was named Silent Valley which is nestled in the serene Bhadra river valley. The resort had picturesque views.

The most happening part of our outing was the white water rafting; yeah we really did it on the river Bhadra! Rafting was not as dangerous as the way they show in movies, but it was good for amateurs like me, who didn’t know anything about rafting, but want to do it without dying…J. The difficulty of a rafting course is measured in degrees and our course was ‘degree 1’. ‘Degree 1’ rafting course is the easiest and degree 6 or degree 7 means…now you know what it means! Rafting was pretty exciting and some of us did it twice… sadly, I did it only once. All of us came back to the resort totally exhausted and slept. Later in the nighttime we had fun games, food and of course party ;-)

The next day was trekking time; we went up a hill near to our resort. There, I understood how does it feel to trek early in the morning, with a hangover of the last night and leeches crawling all over the place. But luckily during the trek, I was not sucked by a single leech! (I think it was the Magic of the Whisky in my blood!)

After trekking, we freshened up and got ready for sightseeing. We went to see some waterfall, I am not able to remember the name right now but it was awesome! This place was about 1-hour drive from our resort. The waterfall was really breathtaking and had a lot of force. While coming back from the waterfall, we got down and went to see a cave where Bhadra river originates. While on my way to the cave, leeches were getting hold of me and sucking my blood. Somehow me and Raj reached the entrance of the jungle where the cave was supposed to be there; and you know what, when we looked down the whole ground was full of leeches ready to suck blood!!! Unanimously we said forget the cave and ran back towards the bus…like they run in Hollywood movies from bloodthirsty vampires! Once we were back in the bus, we again started the process of ‘Leech Spotting’ and cleared our bodies of the remaining bloodsuckers. After a good lunch we left for Bangalore and reached Bangalore around 2.00am, thanks to some people forgetting their expensive cameras and realizing it after we left the resort!

The outing was superb and adventurous, especially the whitewater rafting. The only things that sucked (literally) were the ‘LEECHES’.
