With Google giving Android 2.3 update to the Nexus brothers, Nexus One and Nexus S, there were questions on whether HTC's Android based phones will also get these updates. HTC has been a loyal Android supporter till now and unleashed a lot on Android devices at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress. And 2011 promises that, there will be more Android devices to come from this Taiwanese smart phone maker. Given HTC's loyalty, Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for HTC's Desire line and HTC Incredible S is in development and will hit the mainstream in Q2 2011. The Incredible S ships with Froyo and in April it will get Android 2.3 along with it's Desire siblings. It is really good to see they way HTC has been pushing Android as an OS to smart phone users world over. They are launching new phones every now and then with the old Android running phones getting updated to latest version ASAP, thus not losing out on traction. And thanks to the efforts of OEMs like HTC, Android is growing by leaps and bounds and all set to topple some of the leading smart phone operating systems in the world.
