Today is the last day of the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2011, which is being held in Barcelona, Spain. If you looks back at the announcements and launches that have happened in the last 4 days, it would have been better if they would have called this conference as, "Android Mobile World Congress'. It was raining Android based smart phones and tablets from the day one and now Google has revealed details about what will the next version of Android look like. Currently Honeycomb is the latest version of the Android available in the market, which is optimized for tablets. PhoneScoop got an interview with Android's Engineering Director Dave, who told that, the next version of Android will be called Android "I", it is basically a merger of Android for tablets and Android for smart phones and will bring "action bar" on smart phones. Action bar replaces the "press & hold gesture" with app specific buttons. A multitasking app switcher will come to phones where you can get a preview of all the apps running on your phone. Android is becoming popular day by day and they have done this with getting major OEMs in their kitty and churning out enhancements like there is no tomorrow. This is keeping the developers, the OEMs and of course the users hooked to Android.
