Though Nokia has launched the Nokia N8, it will be officially available in the retail stores by the end of thrid quarter and most of the N8s that you must be seeing floating around are actually pre-production pieces which need a lot of tweaking to be done before they are availabkle on a mass scale. Nokia N8 is the first phone from Nokia that runs on Symbian^3 has a 12 MP snapper with xenon flash and can do HD recording. By the looks of it, the Symbian^3 OS looks like the S60 5th Edition you get on Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 but there is certainly more to it.The Symbian^3 is inspired from Maemo, which is the OS of Nokia N900 and Symbian^3 focuses on multiple home screens, improved & simplified controls, visual task switching and managing and also comes with in-built image and video editing software. So all in all, Symbian^3 looks promising and I hope that Nokia N8's hardware compliments the new version of Symbian and we get a real good smart phone from Nokia.
