With the proliferation of Social networking sites and people getting addicted to them just like e-mails, social networking on mobile phones is becoming popular. A recent survey by Canalys research showed that listening to music and social networking was one of the main activities that people do on their mobile phones apart from voice calls and messaging. The survey was done with 2,400 mobile phone and PC users in EMEA. With social networking getting popular among users, manufacturers are also making sure that they integrate it with their existing portfolio of mobile phones and also launch handsets that are optimized for social networking.
