It seems HTC has taken its strategy in India very seriously. The Taiwanaese mobile phone OME, will be investing 1 million USD in India to promote its new phone, HTC Smart. HTC Smart, which is actually not a smart phone is based on Qualcomm's BREW platform and will feature an improvised version of the Sense UI. Sense UI is currently used by HTC in it phones, which run on Android and Windows Mobile. 1 million USD is indeed a huge amount considering the fact that HTC will be using it in the launch of one single phone but I guess for them India in an important market. HTC Smart, with its Sense UI is easy to use and will give the user a smart phone like experience. The phone will be hitting the India retail shelves in the last week of March 2010. Priced between INR 10,000 - 15,000, HTC Smart will compete with Samsung's Corby Series as well as Nokia's phones like Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
