Bangalore's Traffic Police have now become more advance, thanks to Airtel. Bangalore has been the IT hub of India since long and some of the most advance technologies have been developed as well as deployed here in India. Today, Bharti AirTel finished the deployment of "Traffic Police Enforcement Automation" system in Bangalore. Under this deployment, Bangalore's 650 traffic cops were given Blackberry smart phones, which gave them access to a central database of vehicle, drivers and offenders. With Blackberries in their hands, Bangalore's traffic cops can update as well as pull information about anyone who bends the rules. They can issue tickets on the spot with click of a button. They can also check out their own staff's details as well as any information on the history of traffic violations. AirTel is also working with different state governments as well as other public bodies where they can offer such solutions to speed up processes and remove glitches from the existing system. In today's world of information where criminals are exploiting the power of information in a negative way, solutions like these will help the protectors to handle the criminals in an organized manner.
