After letting the world know about its own innovative and intuitive mobile Platform, Bada, Samsung has now said that in future when it comes to smart phones, it will stick to Windows Mobile, Android and of course Bada. This means that Symbian does stand a chance to get over on to Samsung smart phones. Samsung's Omnia HD runs on Symbian OS and you never know the future versions of the Omnia HD might not have Symbian but may run on Android or Bada. Samsung's VP, Don Joo Lee clearly mentioned that, going ahead Samsung will concentrate on WinMo, Android and their in-house OS Bada. Symbian was never dear to Samsung even if it had invested in the same. You can see that in the support given to OmniaHD. As a hardware the OmniaHD is like a rock but Symbian 5th Edition makes it looks like a pebble in front of other touch screen platforms.

Apart from mobile platform, Samsung will also dedicate its efforts towards HD displays, LTE and high performance CPUs. It seems that Samsung is getting fiercely competitive. It has already become number 2 in many of the big markets; leading is some of them and Nokia is facing some good competition from Samsung in emerging markets like India. With the introduction of Bada, Samsung has promised that, people will get smart phone like experience on non-smart phones, which is something many of the users will look forward to.

Update: Samsung has confirmed that they will keep on having a multi-OS strategy and they are a a part of the Symbian Foundation. With their multi-OS strategy for mobile phones they will keep on supporting multiple platforms like Symbian, WinMo, Android, Linux and of course Bada. This was confirmed by Samsung's official sources.
