Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

img_sub_slogan.pngSamsung is all set to launch its own open source mobile platform, Bada in December 2009. Open source mobile platform is something that most of the mobile phone companies are getting into. This has become a trend after the wide adoption of LiMo and Android, which was followed by Maemo, Symbian Foundation and many others. What sets apart Bada from other mobile platforms is that, Samsung's Bada is all set to deliver rich and connected application-experiences to all mobile phone users and not just smart phone users. With Bada round the corner, Samsung has promised to give rich, intuitive and innovative user experience. Bada means Ocean in Korean and if you go by the name the possibilities of this platform will be endless. As per the Bada Website, "Samsung is deeply committed to the developer community and the application store. With a series of developer days, the developer challenge, and the opening of the application store, Samsung is establishing an environment to encourage innovation and creativity among bada developers." Samsung will also have its own Bada Apps app store in coming days once the mobile platform is made live and open to third party developers.
