The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is the newest touch screen phone launched by Nokia and is the smaller sibling of the Nokia 5800. The phone has now started shipping world wide. With the launch of Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, Nokia has made sure that the Symbian S60 5th edition, which powers handsets like the Nokia 5800 and the N97, is available to a larger group of mobile users. Nokia 5530 is not a high-end phone in terms of price like the N97. Nokia, earlier this year, had made clear that one of their goals in 2009 is to give people affordable touch screen phones. Nokia 5530 is the result of that. Nokia will soon be coming out with Nokia 5900 and Nokia 5800. But Nokia 5530 is something that will become popular among users in emerging markets like Russia and India, who love touch screen phones but cant afford an iPhone due to the high cost factor attached to it. The Nokia 5530 has now deepened the touch screen portfolio of Nokia and now there are more touch screen phones to come. It is a well known fact that the Symbian S60 touch experience does not come near to what experience an iPhone user gets but yeah the platform is evolving and feature wise it will be rich in days to come. Nokia has never positioned its phones as iPhone killers, it is very clear about what it wants to do, whom it wants to target. But now, it has to make sure that the Symbian platform has to evolve as new players on the block like RIM and Apple are giving it a tough competition.

Nokia never gets behind with other touch screen phone models. This item is really sturdy and truly worth the price.
