Along with phones like the N97 Mini, N900 Internet Tablet and Nokia 5900, the other attraction at this year's Nokia World Event is Nokia's first Windows based Netbook, Nokia Booklet 3G. With this Netbook, Nokia has entered into the world of Netbooks and is now ready to face leading Netbook players like Acer, Sony, Dell, Asus. This is something very unusual for a company like Nokia to do. Jump into a very different domain of Netbooks. But if you remember, its story with mobile phones started in the same way when it suddenly jumped into manufacturing wireless phones. Everyone that time was amazed at that decision and pretty skeptical about it but then what happened after that is history. Maybe Nokia wants to do the same with its Netbook. Anyway, as told earlier, Nokia's 3G booklet will have Windows as it OS and will be powered by Intel's Atom processor. It is a no brainer that this Booklet from Nokia targets the heavy Internet user and will have tight integration with most of today's Nokia smart phones and Nokia's services like Maps, Ovi, Music, Video etc.
While making the booklet Nokia has kept the entertainment factor in mind by providing 10 inch HD screen and HDMI port for HD video output. The book let boasts of 12 hours battery back-up time, SIM card slot, which will help you in getting mobile Internet as the booklet is 3G enabled. The booklet has Wi-Fi connectivity and will have Windows as its OS. There is still a debate if it will have Windows XP (comes in most of the Netbooks) or will it have Windows 7 as its OS. The speculations are at an all time high and everybody, including me, is waiting for the Nokia World Event to kick off.
