The HTC G1 has still not come to India. For those who don't know, HTC G1 is the first Android based phone that was launched in the US last year by T-Mobile as T-Mobile G1. The phone has gone through many updates and this year many other Android phones came and went and many will be coming soon. None of the Android phones have been officially released in India by any of the OEMs. the HTC G1 surfaced on the online store of Univercell but it just says coming soon. This afternoon when I was just browsing Rediff 's portal I came across a small re-circulation module used by Rediff to promote its online shopping site and volla, what do I see, a HTC G1 listed on it for INR. 26,000, the only change is that it was listed as Google G1, check out the screenhsot above. Clicking the link took me to this page, the page lists the Google G1 phone for INR 26,000 and the seller is Indus mall. Rediff is offering it for an EMI of INR 9,000/month. I guess this one is from US the third party seller is selling it. There is still no official announcement from Google or HTC about the availability of Android based phones in India.
