Samsung has recently launched its 8 mega pixel slider the S8300 in India recently. S8300 is also called the Samsung UltraTouch. S8300 features a massive 2.8 inch Ultra Touch, WQVGA AMOLED screen with 8 mega pixel snapper. The phone is a photographer's delight with LED flash, Auto Focus, Face and Smile Detection. You can also Geotag your photos using the S8300. Other features include, DivX support, XVid, WM9 and MPEG4 support. The phone can record videos at 30FPS in VGA mode. Multimedia features include FM with RDS, audio player compatibility with MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA files. Bluetooth connectivity, A-GPS. The phone will come with 80MB on-board memory plus a memory card support with microSDHC slot up to 16GB, just like its massive touch screen. Widgets is one of the features of the S8300 that makes it stand apart from other touch screen phones available to the Indian mobile phone user. Widgets can be pulled across the home screen and they gives easy access to applications like Music, games, radio, calendar etc. Make home screen more and more useful for the user is the mantra these days for any mobile phone company thats making a touch screen device.
This is one of the first phone that features a AMOLED screen and its 12.7 mm thickness makes it one of the slimmest also. This is not the first 8 mega pixel monster from Samsung. Samsung initially launched the Innovate and the Pixon, both have a 8 mega pixel snapper. With the launch of the S8300 in India, Samsung is making its headway into high-end touch screen mobile phone market in India, where it will face a competition from Apple's iPhone and also the Nokia N97. Samsung is also offering special packages for BSNL customers as BSNL's 3G services are launched and user can enjoy them on the Samsung S8300.
