Though the HTC Dream, first handset running on Google's Android operating system surfaced on one of India's popular online mobile retailing site, there was no official news about the launch of the handset in Asia. Finally, HTC Dream today has been launched in Asia making its way to Singapore and Australia. This is the first launch of the Dream after the big launch in the US market last year. Now as it will be coming to Singapore and Australia, I guess the days are not far when we Indians get this first ever Android based handset. There is now news on the Asia pricing of the market as of now. The price of the handset in India will somewhere be around 25,000 INR. Many of HTC's phone come bundled with AirTel plan so there is a high possibility that the HTC G1 will come with a AirTel plan. HTC has not made any official announcement regrading the India launch but there were rumors that, the company would be launching the phone in December 2008 but that has gone way back now. With Singapore and Australia launch, we Indians are waiting!! Apart from the HTC Dream, the company has also announced of launching their second Android based handset, HTC Sapphire.
