Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

It seems that mobile phones at a price at which you can easily get a pretty good notebook/laptop, are soon becoming a trend in India. After Sony Ericsson launched the heavily loaded Window Mobile based XPERIA X1 at a price point of Rs. 44,000, HTC has launched its first High Definition mobile phone, the Touch HD in India. The phone has come pretty late in India as it was announced in the month of September 2008. The phone will be priced at Rs. 42,000, which is not at all cheap. Anyway, the phone boasts of some really awesome and breathtaking features. As the name suggests, you get a full HD touch screen so you can enjoy movies in crisp resolution. The phone is supposed to make your Internet browsing and live media streaming one hell of an experience with its 3.8 inch wide WVGA screen. The phone comes with HTC's Touch Flo 3D technology, which is like an icing on the cake. Other features of the phone include Windows Mobile 6.1 professional, 3.5G technology, surfing and downloading at broadband speeds with HSDPA connectivity, pre-installed Google maps, GPS Receiver, A-GPS and a 5 mega pixel snapper, which will let you enjoy the pictures you click on the HD screen. Its good on the visual front but it won't disappoint the audiophile inside you guys as it comes with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for your pair of Bose or Sennheiser headphones. But the price point at which it is launched in India is way to high and I am sure there wont be many takers of this phone. Also, when it comes to HTC's phone, their low and mid range does sell in India but I doubt whether they are doing well with their pricey portfolio of mobile phones. Whatever may be the case, this phone seems to be a winner when you look at the specs and features.

Buying HTC through the mobile store is an experience which makes you say no to a mobile phone. The service of HTC is much below the standard especially when you buy a cellphone which is little expensive its really hurts you.
Even The mobile stores know only to speak big when selling after that they will try every possible way to extract money from your pocket.
Enough is enough no more HTC and the Mobile Store.

I guess the online retailing channel of mobile phone's has still a long way to go in India. However I am surprised to hear about your experience..when it comes to HTC's expensive mobile phones, i think you are right...if you are investing so much money better to buy Nokia/Sony Ericsson or Apple iPhone
