Seems Samsung is building a army of mobile phones with 8 mega pixel snappers. After the Samsung Innov8 and Samsung Pixon, the company will soon be launching one more 8 mega pixel touch screen mobile phone, S8300, in the year 2009. The phone has a huge OLED touch screen with built-in accelerometer and proximity sensor. I am not sure for what this proximity sensor will be used for, may be the phone gets activated when its owner stands near to it or something like that.
A phone with massive touch screen is something that turns me on. Other specifications of the S8300 include a 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus, GPS receiver, TouchViz interface, VGA recoding, support for DivX videos, HSDPA connectivity, FM Radio with RDS, Bluetooth, microSD card support. The phone might be launched by Samsung in next year's Mobile World Congress.
