With India being the main focus point of mobile phone companies like Nokia, Samsung, LG, the country has also attracted the attention of Chinese mobile phone manufacturers. Cheap and fake phones from Chinese companies are proliferating in the Indian market.
The concerned authorities have also taken steps to curtail the growth of Chinese phones, as they are extensively used in anti-social activities. Companies like Nokia, who has
been a victim of fake phone rackets in the past is now gearing up with its anti-fake mobile phone campaign(in the adjacent picture shown in a magazine) its
brand ambassador, Shahrukh Khan. The ad shows some guy dressed (read – undressed) to look like the muscular and sexy
Shahrukh Khan in the adjacent picture of Shahrukh in the same pose. Nokia’s message says, “Duplicates come and go, Originals stay forever.” So very true, both in case of Nokia as well as Shahrukh Khan.

The problem is not that the Chinese copy the design of the phones or the software, the big problem for the customers is that they also copy the logotype. That should be pointed out.
I bought a fake by mistake, I thought I bought a refurbished Nokia N73, and it did not deliver the good Nokia feel I have had before.
But - there are hundreds of iPhone copies with Windows inside them in China now. I hate them (windows really suck on phones), BUT - if any of those manufacturers could figure out how to get Google Android working on them - I´d buy one in a second. Better camera, half the price, open source technology, no restrictions, and I have no need for 3G. That would really wow me.

@Mika - Yeah you are right. These guys even copy the logo and the font style of the manufacturer and serious buyers like you and me fall for that trap. yeah iPhone must be one phone that the Chinese must have cloned n-number of times. Yeah buying a Chinese phone with Google Android would be a good buy man.

If the phone works fine, for half the price and has a goodcamera on it and OS, I don't give a lolipop who build it.

@anonymous - agreed, but what about quality, how long will this last man. Though initially it will feel good but in long run it will never last.
