As reported by the PTI, Idea Cellular, one of India’s big mobile services provider have announced that they would soon be offering suite of Idea mobile services on the mid to high-end mobile handsets of Nokia. There is no clarity over if this deal is Idea-Nokia exclusive.
Idea’s Suite of mobile services focuses on internet, contents and value added services. Idea will start offering these services on the N96, which would be launched in the Indian market in the month of September 2008. Even Idea is sharing Nokia’s focus of bringing consumers world-class Internet and Entertainment services right on their mobile phones. With the Vodafone-iPhone and AirTel-iPhone deals not catching the buzz in the Indian market, this Idea-Nokia deal starting with the N96 is a good IDEA.
