Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

After launching the Famous Five at the Mobile World Congress 2008, Nokia, this time has come up with the Fantastic Four at the Growing Together 2008 Conference in South Africa. Nokia launched 4 phones at the ongoing Growing Together 2008 Conference in South Africa.

After the 7900 Prism this time Nokia unveiled the 7070 Prism an affordable oeice of gadget from the Prism family and one more thing this Prism is clamshell unlike the previous Prisms. The 7070 Prism is at a lower price point as compared to the 7900, wait a minute I thought that Nokia Prism is for high-end consumers. The 7070 Prism offers personalized content, including themes and wallpapers,MP3 grade ringtones, themes and wallpapers.

After 7070, next mobile phone that was launched was Nokia 5000, this is I think the second time Nokia has given such number to any phone, first it was the Nokia 9000 Communicator. Anyways, Nokia 5000 looks like it is from the family of the 5300 Xpress Music Phone. Nokia 5000 has large screen with QVGA resolution, MP3 player, FM radio, Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity. The phone also sports a 1.3 mega pixel camera.

The other 2 models that were launched are the Nokia 1606 and the Nokia 3606. Both the models are the entry level models, Nokia is best at offering entry level handsets. The Nokia 3606 supports microSD card, can play MP3, has camera, LED Flash. However the 1606 is just a phone that allows you to make calls and receive and send text messages.

All these phones have been launched by Nokia at different price points, if you ask me I think the Nokia 5000 and the Nokia 1606 will do good especially in the emerging markets like India. Proven track record of Xpress Music range of Nokia in India and common Indian man support my thinking.
